In my work I’m interested to find out how we categorize and define objects. I can not tell the full story of when or how categorization takes place, but I can describe a personal or sometimes common selection of thoughts and considerations that I find essential in how we look at a man-made object.
For me it is interesting how the rules of language determine how one sees, feels, uses and relates to objects.
History, language, material and function are all key topics in my work which unfold some of the seen and unseen secrets of an object. My object. I find it interesting how communication is determining and defining objects, and I hope you as the viewer will come to question the origin of objects as much as I do.
